This year is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (70A). The Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau will organise a series of 70A-related activities which include expert seminars, thematic talks and visits for teachers and students, Mainland study tours for principals and teachers, as well as student competitions.
This series of activities aim at facilitating students:
To better understand our country and her development in the past seventy years
To express their aspiration of the future of our country
To think about how they can participate in and contribute to the development of our country
70A Primary Student Creative Painting Competition
Students should create a piece of two-dimensional painting on the theme “the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China”.
70A Student Video Clip Design Competition (Secondary School)
Students should produce their short video clips to introduce one development item and/or achievement of our country in the past seventy years. Examples include advancement in innovative technology (e.g. aerospace technology, transportation, smart city, environmental conservation, and medical and health), conservation and management of cultural heritage (tangible and intangible), as well as strategies and planning for combating natural disasters (e.g. flooding, drought, earthquake and sandstorm).
